Start your own Business
Are you looking to become self employed? Would you like to work from home; set your own hours/income
(either full or part time) and be your own boss?
Well I’ve been running a small online business now (in some form or another) for several years now.
Accordingly I’m sure that with my help you too could easily start doing the same.
To this end I’ve devised what could be termed an Internet based franchise opportunity (for which
I’m now attempting to recruit the first members). Naturally this being largely based upon my already
well established home based business.
So to be clear; in essence what I’m proposing is that I’ll help you to start a similar business.
Obviously I can provide everything necessary. Namely:
An introduction to my sole US based supplier. Upon my instruction they’ll open an account for you.
Please note that you’ll be placing all of your own orders and corresponding with the supplier on a
regular basis.
Of course I’ll be available to provide instruction wherever necessary.
An ecommerce web site (like mine). So you can accept online orders/payments.
You’ll then be in a position to supply a truly huge range of quite often extremely niche products
(over 20,000 different items in total) from some of the worlds leading brand name manufacturers e.g. Spyderco,
Victorinox, Gerber and MagLite.
Start Up Costs
Well as the scheme is not yet operational; (and I’m trying to recruit) I’m not
going to charge any kind of up front joining/admin fee.
Rather, you need only pay for third party services e.g. registering your Domain Name, obtaining a Merchant
Account.
Happily though said charges are somewhat modest.
I’d estimate:
a) Between £10-£25 for the Domain Name (which you’ll have to choose).
b) About £200 for a Merchant Account (so you can accept credit/debit cards via your website). I used:
http://www.protx.com/ for mine. Of course (if you’re currently trading) you may already have one;
in which case this would no longer apply.
There may be other sundry expenses of course e.g. packaging/office supplies. Notwithstanding, (as you can
see) overall the start up costs are absolutely minimal.
Trading Options
The following is meant to outline the basic mechanics i.e. how the business will work in practise. Also
coupled with the intention of exploring two different approaches.
Option A:
Part time, extremely low cost. You buy the goods off me and I’ll drop-ship for you.
So you’d order the goods from the supplier (via their web site). These will then be added to
my weekly shipment and I’ll import the goods for you. Subsequently, (once I’ve taken delivery
here in the UK) I’ll dispatch each of the individual orders to your end customer(s).
Obviously this would mean that you would send the payment for the goods to me.
Option B:
Part/full time, modest investment required. You buy from supplier and take delivery of the
goods yourself.
So you’d order the goods but now you’d pay the supplier directly. Thus you’d then import
the goods yourself and subsequently dispatch to your end customer(s).
Expected Earnings
Option A:
I’d anticipate anywhere between £100-£300 per week.
Part time means working anywhere between 10-20 hours per week.
By my calculations twelve customers should generate £100 net profit.
This being based upon my average order price of £45. Meaning your weekly turnover will be around
£540 so £28K per annum.
**This will be extremely easy to achieve** **I will tell you how**
Option B:
Naturally I can’t give anything like an accurate figure. This will be entirely
dependant upon the individual. Notwithstanding I’m sure that 30K per annum is
entirely plausible.
Business Development
Stage one:
It’s essential that your web site gets found by the major search engines (and Google in particular).
Consequently you must undertake at
least elementary SEO work. In the jargon
you must optimize the product pages. This means at the minimum selecting
appropriate meta/description tags for the many products.
eBay Business:
I’ve developed a lost cost eBay trading strategy which I’d strongly recommend
(this being an excellent source of advertising for any online business). For this plan to be economic
you’d need to be placing weekly orders for around £1000.
I aim to write more about this aspect of my plans in the near future
Under Construction
I do have much more to say but (until this is written) if you're interested then please
Email.
I should very much like to begin a dialogue.
Best Regards
